BMW recently introduced two new scooters, the C 650 GT and the C 600 Sport at Milan, which are sure to please scooter enthusiasts. The C 600 is for riders with sports ambitions while the GT is more for those interested in luxury motoring. BMW claim both models ride more like a motorcycle than a conventional scooter on the highway or in the hills.
Both the bikes displace 647 cc from a parallel twin with CVT transmission, with power ratings claimed to be 60 hp at 7500 rpm and 48.7 lb-ft at 6000 rpm. The C 650 GT and the C 600 Sport fulfill today the Euro-4 emission limits of tomorrow and for safety it’s fitted with BMW Motorrad ABS system and advance braking system. BMW has confirmed that both bikes will be coming to the U.S. in 2012, and pricing have not been set.
