The Long Beach, CA-based Lossa Engineering specializes in cafe racers based on Italian, Japanese and British bikes from the ’60s and ’70s. Jay LaRossa from Lossa Engineering has spent hundreds of hours of machine work and hand fabricating this stunning Yamaha SR500 Cafe Racer. Following old school tradition, LaRossa strips the junk and make the “beast” incredibly fast, just like the original racers of yore.
The engine of the Yamaha SR500 Cafe Racer went though some serious modifications. It’s been bored out and assembled with an oversize White Brothers piston and hotter cam, plus heavy-duty valve springs and a ported head. Yamaha SR500 features Benelli fuel tank, a GSX-R front end and Works shocks, the wheels are from an RD400, with Brembo brakes front and rear bringing the proceedings to a halt.
