Unique 1905 Leo Two-Cycle

This 107 year-old motorcycle was hidden and forgotten for decades, in the warehouse of a New England museum. With its original components like spokes and rims, strong compression, freely-turning motor, Thor pedals and Troxel leather saddle made by the L.A. Mitchell Motor Company of Oakland, California. This is historically significant extremely rare piece due to three facts: Leo is thought to have been produced for just one year, 1905, Vehicles of California manufacture are exceedingly uncommon and earliest surving example of an American two-stroke motorcycle. 1. The grandchildren of Leo Mitchell are very interested in this motorcycle. Michael Mitchell is has a picture of the Leo cycle with Leo Mitchel aboard the Leocycle, taken in 1908.

We are interested in the whereabouts of the Leocycle, so the great grandchildren of Leo Mitchell will know what great engineering talents their incestory possessed.
