Cafe Racer Columbiad is built by Simone Lecca from the workshop “Metal Bike Garage”. The idea of the motorcycle was come to mind in 2012 at the Motor Show “Motodays 2012” in Rome. A motorcycle enthusiast said Sebulba Bimota (Project Manager of Metal Bike Garage) and got in touch with Simone Lecca with a request to alter the motorcycle Yamaha XJR 1300 2000. The terms of reference were extremely simple: to build a cafe racer with aluminum bodywork and a double seat.

A key element is the fuel tank, on which Simone had a serious sweat. In addition, he made wings, rebuilt frame and suspension, not to mention all sorts of little things: painting engine covers, clip-one, classic lamp, hoses, exhaust tuning, and much more.
