Urban Motor is a relatively new garage based in Berlin, Germany. The company has put together a lovely classic BMW café racer “Earl Grey”, using a 1983 R80 G/S as the base. It took more than 400 man hours to complete a restoration. The bike is fully restored, cleaned and painted with sandblasting of powder coating.
Earl Grey is based on a frame from the dual sport 1983 R80 GS, but the engine, forks and front wheel come from an R100RS. Two 40mm carbs plus K&N filters are there to help this bike breathe properly, and a 2-into-2 Hoske exhaust have also been fitted. Braided lines and a new lighting system added to the bikes good looks.
