This special-edition version of the Bonneville, dubbed the ‘Steve McQueen Edition’ has just been unveiled by Triumph. It is a limited edition motorcycle that pays tribute to the late actor’s love of the British brand’s products. Based on the classic Bonneville T100, only 1,100 of the Steve McQueenTM Special Edition will be produced and sold worldwide from April 2012.
Triumph’s T100 features classic 1960’s styling with a 865cc Parallel Twin engine that produce a full 67 horsepower at 43 miles per gallon. It uses a black steel cradle frame, 41mm front fork and rear suspension springs. The retro bike also features modern updates like fuel injection. Each bike is individually comes with the late actor’s signature along the side plate, and a certificate of authenticity.
